Business Benefits From Video Conferencing

videoconferencing The following is a guest post.

Without the latest technology, it’s likely that many businesses regardless of how big or small they are will fall behind competitors who have taken advantage of new innovations designed to make communicating and working easier. Video conferencing is one such piece of technology no business could afford to be without, but why?

Video conferencing is believed to help businesses reduce their running costs, reduce stress on employees and make it easier to establish a strong bond with customers from all over the world. There are many benefits that businesses can gain from Conference Calling at conferencegenie.co.uk.

Saving money is possible when resorting to this form of technology. It makes a great alternative to going to meetings, and it helps to drastically reduce travel expenses that would have otherwise gone on business travel. Although installation does cost a little, it will be money well spent.

Any business hoping to hire the best possible staff for the job may worry about not being able to get the right staff due to location. Fortunately, video conferencing allows small firms to let employees work from home without fear of them missing out on meetings with colleagues and clients, which is very useful to know.

Something else that video conferencing can bring to businesses is the ability to connect more effectively with clients, especially ones based miles away from the office. By communicating visually as well as via audio, you can leave a better impression with new and existing customers, which could be priceless.

Another great benefit that video conferencing can bring to any business is the fact that it helps to save time. Arranging a video conference call only takes a few minutes as opposed to several minutes or even hours involved in getting to a meeting.

Stress is something that goes down when using video conferencing too. Travel can leave employees feeling more stressed, and the less they have to do, the less tired and lethargic they will feel when they head to the office at the start of every weekday morning, thus improving their work-life balance.

*Editor’s Note* I personally should probably start using video conferencing more! I bet that my network would become a lot stronger if I video conferenced some of the people I talk to virtually through the internet. I’d be able to put a face and a voice to the name and I bet it’d be great for business. This is something I’m considering for 2013. *Editor’s Note*

  1. I love video conferences. They are so much more personal. I am a big fan of zoom.us. It works really well and is free.

  2. Video conferencing, well actually web conferencing has become a staple in my business. With 90+% of our customers in the US and abroad, travel is not always an option for our customers. Not only have we been able to reduce expenditures for our customers and keep our own low; we’ve been able to develop stronger/closer relationships with them. So much success has come from it a key growth program is looking at using it to expand training and mentoring opportunities cross the globe.
