Random Thoughts
The NFL kicked off last weekend (OK, so technically week before last) and I have been very happy with my team in week one! Who do I root for? The San Francisco 49ers of course! After many, many horrible years they finally turned it around last year and came back even stronger in Week 1 beating the Green Bay Packers!
Why do I root for the 49ers? I’ve never lived in San Francisco. I actually began watching football back when Steve Young and Jerry Rice played and the 49ers were so awesome you had to like them. I think I lived in Florida at the time… Those were great years… Enough babble about the NFL. On to the round up!

Mr Money Mustache asks Does Peak Happiness Really Come at $75,000 a Year? Not for a mustachian! I agree that you can achieve peak happiness below $75,000, especially if you live a simple life.

Oh the ‘Niners have a great team this year, I definitely see them going deep in the playoffs. I’m a Vikings fan which comes with tons of ups and downs. I’m not super optimistic about this season but I will still watch every game and cheer them on.
Nice job getting all those posts on the carnivals. I started to submit to the carnival of personal finance but haven’t submitted to any other ones. I may spend some time doing that today (still stuck on the couch for the most part recovering from surgery).
Have a good weekend!

I have a couple sites I use and open all the carnivals in separate tabs and apply to them all at once. Saves me some time.
No problem. There haven’t been many good movies out lately anyway
Your 49er’s got the best of my Packers last week. I’ll fully admit that you guys just flat-out outplayed us the entire game. I think we’ll see more of each other deep in the playoffs, though, so watch out!

Hopefully so. I have a friend who is a huge Packers fan where I used to live so it is a fun rivalry.
Lance,
Living in Hawaii there are so many 49ers fans here, Hawaii fans are the biggest bandwagon fans. The last few years were great as the bandwagon fans left, they all became Patriots fans. I know your pain, I am a Dolphins fan and I wished Harbaugh chose us.

Yes, it has definitely been a very painful long time, but I definitely am not a bandwagoner
I’m curious if Randy Moss will continue to play like Randy Moss. The 49ers looked fantastic last week.
