Goals
Lose Weight, Eat Healthier, and Exercise
According to my last update I had lost 6 pounds total. This week was a hard week because I felt slightly sick and just didn’t feel like myself. I only went out to eat once this week which was an improvement over last week. I didn’t do as well at home this week though as my girlfriend bought cupcakes and I have a giant sweet tooth. I didn’t gain or lose and weight again this week but they key is I didn’t gain any.
My goal for exercising was to walk my dog 3 times a week. This week I have walked her 6 days. Next week I am bumping this goal up to 5 days a week.
Blog Goals
This week I posted 5 times which exceeded my goal of posting at least 3 times a week. I am going to up this goal to 4 times a week because I really like this schedule and I should be able to keep up if I work on getting a couple additional posts in the queue in case something pops up in my personal life.
My Alexa ranking goal is going great. Each week my rank has been dropping although the drop is less and less every week. That means I’m getting up there in the rankings though! I’m trying to network with as many blogs as I connect with so if you know of any blogs I should check out let me know! My ranking was 1,843,493 last Friday and as of yesterday it was down to 898,343. Now that I have broken the 7 digit barrier I need to start cracking down to continue to lower my ranking. Only 698,344 to go.
Quit Being So Lazy!
My goal to fix my motorcycle handle bar that broke over six months ago when the wind blew my motorcycle over is currently in progress. I started fixing it last Friday but I ran into an issue with the throttle and didn’t understand how to reassemble it. I asked the online community for help but their advice wasn’t really clear so I haven’t attempted finishing the fix yet. I’m hoping to get this done soon, but a yard project will be taking up most of my time this week.

setting goals work for many. But it doesn’t work for me. 4 times a week scheduled is optimum I think.

I agree, it doesn’t work for everyone but whenever I’m about to do something counter to my goals I remember I have to tell you guys what I did… so it does help me
Welcome to the blogging world. Just heard about you through J$ via BudgetsAreSexy. I really enjoyed reading this post. It’s great to see you have goals set up. And just like you mine is eating healthier!

Thanks Ornella! I was surprised I was picked by J$ but very happy! Glad you found the site and I hope you subscribe if you are interested.
Popped over from GRS. Unfortunately I popped into this goal page. I guess I have been reading PF pages so long I am way over the “page counts” stuff.
Where did you go to find out about your motorcycle fixing ? What kind of food did you eat when staying the same weight? How far did you walk with your dog? What goal did you and gf set together for another great week? What tip can I give my daughter in law about CPA stuff? Where do you plan to get the windows for the rental? How do your parents feel about going into property rental with you? Where do they find the money to do that? How are you building clients at work? What type of person needs a CPA and doesn’t know it?
You have great bones. I know it is exciting to show the beginnings of the muscles- but I would like to see the skin:)
Hopping to see you really take off on this adventure! A young CPA starting out- should be fun to watch!
Janette, first thanks for the honest opinion! I need honest opinions to continue to improve my blog as I am just starting out. If you ever have any questions please let me know and I’ll be more than happy to answer them! Let’s get started!
As to the page counts stuff – I normally wouldn’t list this information and will try not to blog about blogging very often. However, because I have joined the Yakezie challenge I do like to show the progress on my Alexa rank as that is the key goal to complete the challenge.
For the motorcycle, I own a YZF600r and there is a website dedicated to this model of motorcycle. http://www.yzf600r.com/ I went to the forums on that site and asked my question.
As far as the food I ate, I used to be eating a ton of junk! I’d go to Sonic and get a large Ice Cream Blast (with candy) once or twice a week. I would buy a container of ice cream and eat the whole container in a week. I’d buy a bag of Starburst Jelly Beans and it’d be gone in a couple days. I have a major sweet tooth! I have been trying to cut a lot of that out or eat lower calorie options while not depriving myself to the point where I go back to my former ways. I’ll try to keep better track of this and be more descriptive next week.
I walk my dog about a mile each time I take her for a walk. It is two and a half blocks where I live. I should probably try to extend that sometime soon or if I have time one evening.
As far as goals for another great week I’ll have to talk to her and come up with some! Great idea though.
Man… CPA… that was a hard one. What point is your daughter at? Let me know and I’ll try to give some pointers.
We actually decided against buying the rental property so luckily we won’t have to look into getting windows/sliding glass doors, etc.
My parents were excited about the rental property but ultimately I decided I wasn’t ready yet which was probably the right choice.
I wasn’t sure where they were going to pull their money from. We didn’t get to the point to where we were actually going to make an offer so I hadn’t asked.
As far as work, I worked for two different CPA firms in the beginning of my career. The first was in Washington, DC and then I decided to move to Florida to be closer to my family and went to another CPA firm. They were both very different experiences but I have now moved to corporate accounting two months ago! I will probably write a post about that sometime soon, be sure to check it out.
I’m glad to hear I have good bones! I really do appreciate your comment and would love to see more of them to help me continue growing as a new blogger!
Posting 5 times in one week is impressive. Pace yourself!

Thanks! Maybe I should have only counted 4 of them. On Tuesday I threw up a quick post about my guest post over at Budgeting in the Fun Stuff.
Man, you’re busy. That’s pretty impressive to get some shout-outs from J MOney & PFBlog News.
You even got Funancials to come comment! He’s never commented on my blog.

I was very excited on all the mentions. I’m hoping the pace continues and before I know it I can be considered up there with your blog!

5 times a weeks is gruelling, but can be done. I go between 3-4 and thats my sweet spot. I have a thing for cupcakes, too.
